DESCRIPTION:This Community Law Day, Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and its community partners invite you to a free workshop touching on the themes of “Supporting Independence in Young Adults with Disabilities” and “Avoiding Court Interventions as You Age.” Experienced attorneys will explain options to avoid guardianship and court control of your life as a young adult with disabilities or autism or as a senior.\nFollowing the presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to sit down with an attorney for a consultation to discuss any of the following:\n\nCreating a power of attorney\nAdult guardianship\nAlternatives to guardianship\nOptions for young adults with disabilities\nDebt and other related issues\nHousing and other related issues\n\nAttorneys with Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada (which manages the Resiliency Center) are on site with us every day to serve as a resource for legal concerns—including debt collection, housing and evictions, insurance matters, medical billing problems, and more.
