Resiliency & Justice Center Offers Emergency Financial Assistance to 1 October Survivors

1 October survivors can apply for small-dollar financial assistance

To aid in the healing process by providing financial assistance for basic, emergent needs of the survivors of Route 91, the Resiliency & Justice Center offers financial assistance to survivors of 1 October on an application basis.

With this service, survivors can qualify for assistance up to $500, twice in any 12 consecutive month period, up to four times in their lifetime.

“The center is pleased to provide this new service to ease the financial burden for survivors,” said Tennille Pereira, Director of the Resiliency & Justice Center. “Through this rapid response, temporary assistance program, we can help with rent and utilities while survivors take time to heal on their timeline.”

All disbursements from the resiliency center are independent of the crime victim funds established in the states.

The Resiliency & Justice Center is operated and managed by Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
