Vegas Responder Peer Group

Southern Nevada first responders (including police officers, dispatchers, emergency medical technicians, firefighters, coroners/medical examiners, and the Southern Nevada Health District) are invited to this weekly peer group at the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center available every other Tuesday at 9 a.m. and every other Thursday at 5 p.m. Please join Terri Keener, LCSW, in this safe and neutral space where you can meet and talk with other public safety professionals. Meetings are confidential, with an atmosphere of mutual support for sharing experience, strength, hope, and strategies for managing life’s challenges.

Terri has been working with those affected by trauma for over 25 years. She is the former Behavioral Health Coordinator for the Resiliency Center, serving those affected by the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. This provided the opportunity to become even more familiar with the many roles of public safety professionals, their culture, and the intense demands of their roles. Terri has now transitioned into full-time private practice, where she works primarily with first responders.

For additional information or if you have any questions about this group, feel free to reach out to the Responder Wellness Program by phone at 702-496-6736 or by email at responderwellness@clarkcountynv.gov.
