Fundamentals of Mass Violence Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Resilience
The National Mass Violence Victimization Resource Center (NMVVRC) will host this first-of-its-kind National Virtual Summit to learn evidence-based fundamentals of mass violence preparation, response, recovery, and resilience. Attendees will hear the power of the personal stories of survivors; lessons learned from civic, community, and state leaders who have experienced the devastation of a mass violence incident; and practical tips to collaborate and create effective mass violence plans that are survivor-centered and address the behavioral and mental health needs of victims and communities.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free virtual summit, which will be especially beneficial to crime survivors; local, state, tribal, and national victim services and behavioral/mental health providers; law enforcement and justice professionals; emergency management officials; civic and community leaders; and anyone who recognizes the importance of partnerships to prepare for mass violence incidents.
