Mental Health & Responder Appreciation Event
We will be celebrating mental health and responder appreciation every month starting in January leading up to the 1st Annual Responder and First Receiver Appreciation Day to be held in May 2022.
This month’s event will be hosted by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department CIT Detail, and will include presentations from Andy DiPalma (Bridge Counseling Associates First Responder Liason) and Tiffany Oba (Vegas Strong Resiliency Center Responder Wellness Coordinator). Lunch will be provided at 12 p.m.

Mindfulness Meditation with Catherine Scherwenka • 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Catherine is a meditation teacher, workshop facilitator, spiritual guide, Kundalini Yoga teacher, and published author. She has studied and lived in India for many years and shares her wisdom from her life experiences.
Guest Speaker Cecelia Broussard • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Cecelia is an expert in the area of grief and loss. After experiencing several traumatic losses, she positioned herself on a personal journey to educate and raise massive awareness surrounding grief and loss. She strives to help grievers move beyond pain to restore healing and promote recovery and transformation. Cecelia is the author of How To Discover Your B.L.I.S.S. After Loss, a guide to support emotional pain with practical application.
This open-door event is open to all responders, first receivers, hospital staff, support staff, and family members (on-duty, off-duty, and retirees). Stop in while you are out in the field or on your lunch break.
